NICK NELSON AWARDED CCIM DESIGNATION
APRIL 25 IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
Austin, Texas (5/4/12) – (Nick Nelson, CCIM), (Director, KW Commercial, Austin), has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute. The designation was awarded during the Institute's spring business meetings April 25 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Nick Nelson was among the 141 commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the Institute's Comprehensive Examination, the final element in the designation process. This new group of CCIM designees hails from 34 states, as well as Canada and Mexico. "We're thrilled to welcome the newest CCIM designees," said 2012 CCIM Institute President Leil Koch, CCIM. "Earning the designation is a great achievement, and we congratulate all those who are now a part of the organization's history."
The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of an advanced analytical curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience. The curriculum addresses financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis – the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis.
Mr. Nelson currently serves as Programs Board Chair of the Central Texas CCIM Chapter and is a member of the investment sales team recently awarded 2011 Commercial Team of the Year by KW Commercial due to their innovative technology integration and sales volume. In addition to his extensive background in construction and development, Mr. Nelson holds the ARGUS Software Certification. ARGUS Software is the industry standard in institutional grade financial analysis and widely used by top Commercial Investment firms in a global environment.
